Bonymaen Family Centre first opened its doors in spring 1999 and is currently located with Eastside Family Support Project in the heart of Bonymaen with services being delivered throughout the community. eastside family support PROJECT
A Families First funded project, with a variety of support available include home visits, one-to-one support, accessing grants for equipment /furnishings, supporting families to move to more suitable accommodation, benefits advice, securing playgroup or childcare placements and individual support for parenting problems. portmead puddleducks FLYING START
Families who have children aged 2-3 years and live in the catchment area can access our services. Referrals are made through Health Visitors. We aim to provide 2.5 hour sessional, high quality childcare focusing on supporting children from 2-3 years of age of all abilities in all areas of development and to help them develop into strong, confident and self assured young people. We run drop-in sessions with Health Visitors and support parents in groups run by other agencies. Click here for details.
st john's centre
We work closely with Brecon Foodbank and other partners to establish a well-being feel to the St John's Centre in the heart of the community. The Council for Social Responsibility runs a number of activities at the Centre e.g. an over 50's Luncheon Club, a Gardening club and Food-Cooperative that complement the ethos of our organisation and encourage joined-up partnership working and collaboration to deliver support services in the St John's Ward. Faith in Families is part of the Swansea and Brecon Diocesan Board for Social Responsibility Ltd. It is a registered charity and works within the diocese in co-ordination with the bishop and the Diocesan Board of Finance and is also supported by the Diocesan Mothers' Union.
